The surnames at next month's under-18 talent camp in Brisbane will sound strikingly familiar as a host of second generation Australian cricketers converge there, following in the footsteps of their illustrious fathers.

As reported by 'Sydney Morning Herald', one of the youngsters would respond to the name of Jack Boon and like father David, he too is predominantly a batsman.

Alister McDermott will also be in the mix and when he begins his rather long run up, many would strain their eyes to find out similarities, if any, with his father Craig.

Besides, Mitchell Marsh will also join the camp hoping to do justice to the surname after father Geoff and brother Shaun made their mark in cricket.

There will also be spin talent Andrew Tazelaar, whose father Dirk shared Queensland's new ball attack for quite a long time.

Also hoping to impress will be Nicholas Buchanan, son of the former Australia coach John and sibling of Queensland batsman Michael.

All products of different centres of excellence across the country, 38 greenhorns will undergo specialist coaching sessions besides extensive sports science testing at the camp.

Cricket Australia General Manager of Operations Michael Brown said the camp would provide the youngsters a golden opportunity to work with some of the best coaches around.

"The CA COE has first-class facilities and I'm sure each of the selected youngsters from around the country will be looking forward to the experience that will hold them in good stead for seasons to come," he said.
