Haddin succumbs to injury

Australia wicket-keeper Brad Haddin has returned home from the West Indies after failing to recover from a broken finger.

Haddin, who played with the broken finger through the final two Test matches and the first one-day international,, departed Grenada on Friday to continue his recovery in Australia.

"Brad has a fractured right ring finger which he suffered during the first Test against the West Indies in Jamaica," said team physiotherapist Justin Steer.

West Australian wicket-keeper Luke Ronchi, who made his international debut in Australia's Twenty20 game against the West Indies last week in Barbados, will remain with the squad until the completion of the tour.

Steer added: "This injury has now got to the point where it is limiting his capabilities as a player and therefore he is going home to seek appropriate further treatment."
