The ACL T20 trophy was unveiled in a spectacular event at The Trident Oberoi Wednesday evening.
Modi was, as ever, his usual optimistic self barely weeks away from the biggest tournament amongst domestic clubs from across the world.
"Airtel Champions League Twenty20 will be one of the biggest entertainment properties in the world," said Modi, also the brain behind the hugely successful Indian Premier League.
The ACL T20 will see 12 of the best domestic clubs from across the world battle for the ultimate glory from October 8 in India.
The organisers are, thereby, leaving no stone unturned. Tickets will be available in Café Coffee Day outlets and at airports in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
There is another aspect to watch out for. An expert panel will pick up the best 11 players from across all the 12 teams for an All Stars XI. Each of these players will get a golden star to flaunt proudly.

Dean Kino, representing Cricket Australia said his organisation is excited about the tournament in "India, the greatest cricketing nation" in the world.
"We are looking ahead to the greatest cricket domestic tournament at the international level and we are hopeful of a great success," Kino said.
With six million USD as the prize money, a lot will be at stake for the teams and with so many top cricketers from across the world, the fans can expect some drama and thrill.
Answering to questions of building a fan base for the event, Modi was candid: "Look we don't expect to build a fan base overnight. It will take time. However, people will follow the teams if they play thrilling cricket."
Given the standards of teams in the event, Modi can rest assured.
As many as 34 match cameras will be used in the ACL T20 in India to bring on an entirely new experience for TV audiences. Never before have so many cameras been used on a cricket field.
These are exciting times in cricket. A few men of unquestioned integrity and determination are leading a revolution.
The success of the Airtel Champions League Twety20 will change the way cricket is looked at throughout the world. Call it "cricketisation" or globalisation, the drums have started to roll.
