"Unity is the secret of T&T's success"

"Unity is the secret of T&T's success"

Trinidad and Tobago's Adrian Barath says the secret of his side's unbeaten run in the Airtel CLT20 is the unity among the players.

"This unit has been playing together for a number of years. We have big players like Dwayne Bravo, Daren Ganga and Kieron Pollard. These guys are International players and our captain has good leadership qualities. I think unity is the best way forward," the 19-year-old debutant told reporters last night after Trinidad and Tobago beat Diamond Eagles to enter the semifinals.

"It does not make sense if you have big players and no unity. Everyone has to support the other. I think that is the key," he said.

Barath, who made a superb 63 in the match, said he was happy with his performance.

"It is an excellent feeling. This is my first game in India. I have been watching the Indian Premier League. I am excited to come to the Champions League and have a performance like this. I feel good about myself and my ability," he said.

Earlier, Diamond Eagles captain Boeta Dippenaar said his team could have bowled better to prevent the Caribbean side from making a massive total of 213.

"214 is always going to be too much. 200 is gettable. We can close in on it. I think we could have bowled a little bit better," he said.
