Rajarshi’s moments with cheer leaders
espnstar.com’s Rajarshi Gupta is having fun in Hyderabad. He caught up with three cheerleaders by the swimming pool.
When these ladies move, they go crazy at the stands. The cheerleaders are as much a part of Twenty20 cricket as are the sixes and the exquisitely timed boundaries.

The Airtel Champions League has been a celebration of cricket and no one has stopped partying and least, the pretty women, who set hearts racing with every number the DJ belts out from the podium.
Everyone loves them and the cheer leaders love being loved.
Jena, who has been grooving along at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad said: "We are all extremely passionate about it and we identify with the efforts cricketers put on the field since most of us consider ourselves athletes."
Passion is what keeps them going. Rupali, who is an Indian settled in the USA said things have been getting interesting for her with her every game in the Airtel CL T20.
Now, before you get any thoughts, here is what she meant: "We keep getting curious each game and we are very passionate about putting in our best. It has been interesting to see the enthusiasm amongst the fans and crowds."
Our cheer leaders here have their personal favourites too. Laura, for instance, wants the Trinidad and Tobago to lift the trophy.
"I want them to win you know. They have floored everybody with their flair and I absolutely love the way T&T played their cricket."
Rupali on the other hand does not follow back home in the States but the sport runs in the blood of every Indian. Thus: "My family loves watching cricket and I understand the frenzy in the middle."
Making sure that people have fun is never easy but these girls do it and do it just fine.
"We feel it is our responsibility to let people enjoy themselves and let their hair down," Laura said.
What about the players? Do they have nice things to say to these girls?
"No, the relationship between the players and us is strictly professional. Their gestures and smiles are enough to tell us we are doing a good job."
The biggest compliment comes from the crowd, who have a whale of a time with us."
Jena, Laura and Rupali have a task on their hands tonight. The stadium is beginning to look like a party scene already. ‘
The DJ is making some noise and there come the cheer leaders, those lovely women jogging in their bright reds. Time for some fun now.
