"I will give my best for Bangalore"
Aussie cricketer Cameron White is disappointed for not representing his home side Victoria in the Airtel Champions League T20.
“Yes very disappointing. I captained my state side. I grew up playing there. Having to play for Bangalore pre-season and not Victoria will be very hard. Hope it’s done with quickly,” said White.
White threw a googly on being asked about sharing his home team's secrets with Bangalore.
“I don’t think that there is anything about Victoria that Bangalore are not aware of. I will give my best for them, but I would have loved to play for Victoria.”
The Aussie international’s destructive abilities as a batsman and his proactive approach would be missed by Victoria. However White believes that the Australian domestic T20 champions would be more than a handful.
“Victoria are amazingly capable. We have won four out of the last five T20 tournament. My place will be taken by someone equally capable. Victoria will be hard to beat.”
Australia’s T20 vice captain however is well versed with the requirements of today’s professional cricket. The 27 year old has committed to give it his all for Bangalore.
“There is nothing that I can do now. Bangalore had the choice on the basis of contract. I told them I wanted to play for Victoria but they were not too keen to release me. It’s simple. Once I am on the field, I’ll give my hundred precent for Bangalore as I would have done for Victoria.”
