Prior: Tests still the 'ultimate form'

England wicketkeeper Matt Prior admits he feels "cricket will never be quite the same again" after the lucrative Stanford Twenty20 match in Antigua on November 1.

While the credit crunch bites hard at home, England's cricketers will gather in the Caribbean this week to prepare for their ground-breaking winner-takes-all clash next month.

Like captain Kevin Pietersen, who insistsd Test cricket is still the "pinnacle" of the sport, Prior believes the longer format remains the priority.

But he told The Guardian: "You get the feeling cricket will never be quite the same again.

"We have to be careful about the way the game goes because Test cricket is still the ultimate form where most players want to make their biggest mark.

"If we were playing the West Indies in a Test we could be more confident. But in Twenty20 one guy can change the whole match in a few overs.

"So it's a 50-50 call. One team will scoop the lot and the other will walk off empty-handed. That's why people who aren't interested in cricket might watch this game."
