"We can still hold our heads high"
espnstar.com’s Rajarshi Gupta spoke exclusively to T&T all-rounder Sherwin Ganga after the team’s loss in the Airtel CL T20 final.
Back at the team hotel after a heart-wrenching defeat at the hands of New South Wales Blues, Sherwin looked almost content.

"We can still hold our eads high. I know a lot of people in India and back home had expected us to win the tournament but this is cricket.
The boys tried hard and gave it all that they had. We were on a roll right through the last two weeks and we chose the final to have an off day."
The off-spinner and left-handed middle order batsman played his role to perfection.
Asked by his brother and skipper Darren to open the bowling attack in the semi-final and final, Sherwin did well to restrict the opposition and take crucial wickets.
"I am obviously happy with the way the Airtel CL T20 went for me. A lot of the other guys in the team played good cricket and that is why we reached the final.
It was never going to be easy against the Blues. The Aussies played terrific cricket on the night."
There was a glimmer of hope when Sherwin came in to bat on Sunday night with the dangerous Kieron Pollard at the crease.
However, an unnecessary shot by the younger Ganga meant it was never going to be easy for the men from the Caribbean.
However, the soft-spoken Sherwin chose not to reflect on that.
After all, it was a job well done. The team did not cross the final hurdle but fans in India and Hyderabad - in particular- were witness to a the Calypso brand of cricket, a phenomenon many thought had died since the days of Viv Richards.
