Q.Even Sachin recognizes your contribution that eventually took India to the pinnacle. How does it feel?
Ans. It feels great. Let me tell you that this particular vision of being number one in test and one-day cricket happened almost two and a half years back, when Anil took over captaincy from Rahul Dravid. So, the vision was always there.
Q. Now that India is number one in Test rankings, which series do you think was the turning point.
Ans. Probably, the Australian series was really a big turn around for team India. There were lots of challenges on and off the field. This is what I feel, helped the team evolve with regards to handling situations both on and off the field and also the players began taking lot of responsibility.

Q. You also contributed to a part of the process. So now fans would also like to know what really put the halt?
Ans. Honestly, I don't know. I wish I knew about it. I am thankful for the board about giving me an opportunity and also to the players who responded so beautifully. I wish this would continue till the end of the World Cup.
Q. How do you rate the current Indian bowling attack, with Sreesanth, particularly back in the team?
Ans. The bowling attack is good. With a huge toll of fast bowling coming up the area looks promising. Sreesanth was always there in the system. He was never questioned when it came to talent and ability. However, the question that always arose was regarding his attitude. I am really happy to see him back in the team and doing so well. As a player you are needed to just think about the process, game plan and so on. You don't really need to go overboard with aggression and experimentation. So, as a player you just stick to the team plan. I am sure you will be contributing more to the success of the team.
