- Royal Challengers Bangalore have recorded their biggest win in the IPL. Previously, they had won three games by five wickets' margins - one each against Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders.

- Royal Challenges Bangalore, with their nine-wicket triumph, became the fourth side to register four victories in the second edition of the IPL.

- Interestingly, the top four teams - Deccan Chargers, Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore - have eight points each at the moment.

- Sanath Jayasuriya (52 off 43 balls) has registered his second fifty in the second edition of the IPL.

- Jayasuriya, in six innings in the 2009 edition, has made only 137 at an average of 22.83.

- Jayasuriya, with his aforesaid fifty, has taken his run-aggregate in the IPL to 651 in 20 games at an average of 36.16, including one hundred and four fifties.

- Only Suresh Raina (653) has made more runs than Jayasuriya in the IPL.

- Sachin Tendulkar has completed his 200 runs in the 2009 edition - 209 at an average of 41.80, including two fifties.

- Playing in his first IPL game in the 2009 edition, Dillon du Preez has bowled splendidly to claim 3 for 32.

- Jayasuriya and Bravo put on 60 runs for the fourth wicket - Mumbai Indians' second best for this wicket-position, next only to the 113 (unbroken) between Robin Uthappa and Bravo against Kolkata at Kolkata on April 29, 2008.

- Bravo (50 not out off 40 balls) recorded his first fifty in the second edition of the IPL - and the second overall in the IPL. His highest in the IPL is 64 not out off 53 balls against Kolkata at Kolkata on April 29, 2008.

- Bravo and Nayar were associated in a 66-run unbeaten stand - Mumbai Indians' best for the fifth wicket in the IPL, bettering the 54 between the same pair against Hyderabad at Hyderabad on May 18, 2008.

- Jacques Kallis is the leading run-getter for Royal Challengers Bangalore - 220 at an average of 36.66, including two fifties.

- Kallis is now the sixth batsman to aggregate 200 runs or more in the 2009 edition of the IPL, joining Hayden, Raina, Hodge, Gilchrist and Tendulkar.

- Kallis (69 not out off 59 balls) recorded his highest innings in the IPL, bettering the 62 off 46 balls against Kings XI Punjab at Kingsmead, Durban on April 24, 2009.

- Robin Uthappa (66 not out off 42 balls) has registered his first fifty in 21 innings in the IPL, bettering the 48 off 38 balls against Bangalore at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on April 20, 2008

- Kallis and Uthappa posted the first century partnership for Bangalore against Mumbai in the IPL. Their 126-run unbroken stand is now the highest for Bangalore against Mumbai for any wicket in the IPL, surpassing the 55 between Kallis and Mark Boucher for the fifth wicket at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on April 20, 2008.

- The aforesaid 126-run unbroken partnership is Bangalore's highest ever for the second wicket in the IPL, bettering the 89 between Ross Taylor and Wasim Jaffer against Chennai Super Kings at Bangalore on April 28, 2008.

- Jacques Kallis has got his first MOM award in the IPL.
