- Pakistan have won their seventh game in succession between June 13, 2009, and November 13, 2009, emulating South Africa's tally between March 27, 2009, and June 16, 2009. Both Pakistan and South Africa now share a record for most consecutive wins in Twenty20 Internationals.

- Pakistan's seven-run win is their narrowest victory margin over New Zealand in Twenty20 Internationals. The said victory has equalled their previous narrowest victory margin, having defeated South Africa by seven runs at Trent Bridge on June 18, 2009.

- Pakistan enjoy 100 per cent winning record against New Zealand, winning all the four games - by 6 wickets at Cape Town on Sepember 22, 2007; by 6 wickets at The Oval on June 13, 2009; by 49 runs at Dubai on November 12, 2009 and by 7 runs at Dubai on November 13, 2009.

- Pakistan's total of 153 for five is their second highest against New Zealand in Twenty20 Internationals - the highest being 161 for eight at Dubai on November 12, 2009.

- Umar Akmal (56 not out off 49 balls) has posted his career-best score - his maiden fifty. His previous best was 30 off 20 balls against Sri Lanka at Colombo RPS on Auust 12, 2009.

- Ian Butler (3/19) has recorded his best figures against Pakistan - his second best overall, next only to the 3 for 19 against Scotland at The Oval on June 6, 2009.

- Scott Styris' 43 off 33 balls is his highest against Pakistan and his second best overall, next only to the 66 off 39 balls against Australia at Auckland on February 17, 2005.

- Umar Gul has taken his wickets' tally to 39 (avg 11.58) in 23 games - the most by any bowler in Twenty20 Internationals. Shahid Afridi has the next best tally - 37 (avg 15.59) in 26 matches.

- Umar Akmal has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the first time.

- Shahid Afridi has received his second Man of the Series award in Twenty20 Internationals. He had received his first award two years ago in the inaugural ICC World Twenty20, held in South Africa.
