- Gilchrist, with three sixes, has become the first batsman to hit 50 sixes (51) in the Indian T20 Series.
- Gilchrist has recorded his 8th fifty (54 off 35 balls) in Twenty20.
- Gilchrist became the first player to post eight innings of fifty-plus in the Indian T20 Series - one century and seven fifties, eclipsing Matthew Hayden's tally of seven fifties.
- Gilchrist and Laxman added 61 for the first wicket -Hyderabad's second best for the first wicket against Kolkata, next only to the 68 between Gilchrist and Herschelle Gibbs at Johannesburg on May 16, 2009.
