- Sri Lanka (236/6) have registered their highest total against South Africa at East London, eclipsing the 207 for six on December 17, 2000.
- Dinesh Chandimal (92 not out) has posted his highest innings against South Africa - his second fifty in ODIs.
- Chandimal's knock is the highest by a Sri Lankan against South Africa at Buffalo Park, East London.
