"Pakistan no longer fear failure"

A psychologist, who has been counseling Pakistan ahead of major ICC events, feels the team has conquered the fear of failure.

He also believes that Younus Khan's men are well on course to lift the Champions Trophy.

Maqbool Babri, a clinical psychologist and hypnotist who counseled the players before the Twenty20 World Cup in England and before the Champions Trophy, felt the body language and mental attitude of the players in South Africa was encouraging.

"Their body language is good. They are playing positive and most importantly they are also enjoying the competition, which are signs of a winning combination," Babri said.

"The fear of defeat disables the true strength and potential of any team. I think that is also what happened with India when they played against Pakistan. They were thinking too much about what would happen if they lost.

"I have told our players that they must enjoy every match no matter who the opposition is and play without fear of defeat the positive results will come automatically because no team can win everyday. But the idea is each player and team gives its best everyday," he added.

Babri said even if Pakistan didn't win the Champions Trophy, they must remain positive and think ahead.

"There is so much potential in Pakistan cricket. The players need to tap their potential to a maximum themselves," he said.
