Pak beat NZ in warm up series

A good knock from Pak U-19 opener Ahmad Shahzad helped his side beat NZ to clinch its three-match series ahead of the ICC U19 WC.

The two sides had won a match each before today's decider in Blenheim.

Helped by good middle-order batting, Pakistan won the match by three wickets.

Batting first, New Zealand posted a total of 232 for nine wickets in 50 overs helped by a solid 70 scored by Cachopa. Anderson contributed 46 along with 34 by van Beek.

Left arm fast bowler Kaleem Sana was the most successful bowler picking up three wickets for 45 runs. Usman also took two wickets.

In reply, the Pakistan Under-19 team got to the total with more than a over to spare.

Ahmad Shahzad top scored with 76. Naeem also chipped in with a quick-fire 46.
