Ryder to miss Super-Eight clash
New Zealand's Jesse Ryder will miss ICC World T20 Super-Eight clash with Ireland after being hospitalised for examination.
Ryder, 24, remained in London for tests on ongoing muscle pain while his teammates travelled to Trent Bridge for Thursday's match.
He has been dogged by a groin injury in recent times and the Black Caps' medical team are trying to establish if this problem is linked.
Ryder had missed his team's match against South Africa on Tuesday at Lord's because of the nagging injury and was taken to a London hospital.
"Jesse is continuing to suffer serious discomfort and has been admitted to hospital overnight for observation and further tests," team manager Dave Currie said in the statement.
"We hope the picture will become clearer in the next 24 hours," he added.

New Zealand have been plagued with injuries in the tournament with skipper Daniel Vettori nursing a shoulder injury, which forced him to sit out of the two preliminary matches the side has played so far.
Middle-order batsman Ross Taylor is also being monitored after he strained his hamstring, while left-arm paceman James Franklin is likely to play in the next stage despite a knee problem.
