The former South African skipper also revealed why he decided to resign from the national team and take up his role as a coaching player for Surrey.
Q: Critics believe that you still could have played for South Africa.
AN: Thanks to the critics but my decision to quit international cricket and playing for Surrey is a right one.
Q: How many years would you be playing for Surrey County?
AN: It is a three-year contract.
Q: Did you play for any other county team before?
AN: Yes, I previously played County cricket for Essex and Northamptonshire.

Q: Why did you decide to resign from your national team?
AN: I do admit that I was becoming increasingly marginalised. I am still disappointed with what happened. I feel I have a lot to offer at 31.
Q: So London is your base now?
AN: Yes, I am enjoying a fresh start in London now.
Q: Aren't you missing playing in your country?
AN: It's a shame not to be able to play for my country anymore but I have to move on. I want to use my experience here at Surrey. I feel I have got a lot to offer.
Q: Will you not be missing the ICC World Twenty20?
AN: I will be an interested spectator.
Q: You look fitter and better.
AN: Yes. I do feel good. Everyone says 31 is old but my belief is, the older you get, the cleverer you become.

Q: Which is your favourite team in this tournament?
AN: South Africa will be amongst the favourites. But I fancy Sri Lanka to be a danger side. They are the dark horse in this tournament.
Q: What would be your role for Surrey's County Cricket Club?
AN: I want to help the medium pacers. There are good cricketers like Jade Stuart and others. I have been really impressed by these young bowlers. Surrey wanted me more as a coaching player.
