Gayle dreaming of World T20 trophy

Chris Gayle is already dreaming of ICC World T20 glory after storming into the semi-finals via D/L method.

The West Indies skipper spoke of his dreams of setting hands on the trophy after edging past England in a rain-marred Super Eights game.

"Two more games and we can win the title," said a relieved Gayle after his team coasted home by five wickets.

The opener admitted that things looked a bit difficult after West Indies lost three wickets in 16 runs while chasing a reduced 80 from nine overs.

However, the experienced duo of Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul saw the team through.

"They couldn't have batted at a better situation. They have done it a number of times and they did it today as well," said Gayle, who said he would have preferred a 20-over match.

His England counterpart, Paul Collingwood, was no doubt hoping for a 20-over match but credited his boys for a wonderful performance.

"When you defend a total (80) like that with 10 wickets in hand, it's bound to be difficult. It would have been nice if we could have had a 20-over per side game," said Collingwood, who along with the rest of the players would now have to concentrate on the upcoming Ashes.
