Lanka fined for slow over-rate
Sri Lanka has been fined for slow over-rate during their 57-run victory over West Indies in the ICC World T20 semi-final.
Match Referee Alan Hurst found that Kumar Sangakkara's side was one over short of its target at The Oval at the end of the West Indies innings when time allowances were taken into consideration.
In accordance with the ICC Code of Conduct regulations governing over-rate penalties, players are fined five per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount.
