Cheteshwar Pujara feels consistence performance in the domestic circuit will automatically earn him a Team India berth.

"I don't think whether I will be selected in the national squad or not. I want to keep performing consistently which will automatically help me to be a part of the national squad," the 20-year-old batsman also known as "the Wall in waiting" for his ability to play big knocks, said here.

Pujara, who played a match winning unbeaten knock of 112 against Karnataka to help Saurashtra secure Ranji Trophy semi-final berth against Mumbai, said playing against Rahul Dravid was a good experience but added that comparisons with the legend annoyed him.

"It is ridiculous that a person who has been playing for India for more than a decade and scored over ten thousand runs in both forms of the game is being compared with someone who is yet to play a match for the country," said the right-hander who had cracked three triple centuries in a month this season.

Pujara, who expressed disappointment at missing out an opportunity to spend quality time with Dravid said he was eagerly awaiting to meet master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who along with speedster Zaheer Khan, has been named in the Mumbai squad for the semi-final clash in Chennai from January 7.

"I don't want to sound excited but I am eagerly waiting to meet Sachin," he said.

Pujara also hopes that Mumbai, who won the Ranji Trophy 37 times, would be under tremendous pressure against a young Saurashtra side. "Our performance in the previous match against them in the league stage gives us a mental advantage," he said.

Pujara occupies the third place in the list for the highest run scorer this season behind Mumbai skipper Wasim Jaffer and Ajinkya Rahane.

He has scored two triple centuries within a week against Mumbai and Maharashtra in the C K Nayudu Trophy and also an unbeaten 302 against Orissa in a Ranji Trophy league match.
