Team India discard Mohammad Kaif will lead Central Zone in D B Doedhar trophy to be played on league cum knockout basis at Cuttack from March 13 to 18.

The 15-man squad was selected during a Central Zone selection committee meeting under the chairmanship of Narendra Hirwani today, a press release said.

The selection committee meeting was attended by vice-president of the Vidarbha Cricket Association M N Dorairajan, Gyanendra Pandey, Prashant Dwivedi, Vinod Mathur, Ex Group Captain D D Deshpande and Abhay Sharma.

The Squad: Mohd Kaif (Captain), P Chawla, Tanmay Shrivastava, Bhuvesh Kumar, R P Singh, Ravikant Shukla (all from UPCA), Rajesh Bishnoi, Pankaj Singh, Pranay Sharma (Rajasthan Cricket Association), Jairaj Saxsena, Naman Ojha, Murtaza Ali (Madhya Pradesh), Dhiren Salvi, Murli Kartik (both Railways) and Umesh Yadav.

Standbyes: Karan Sharma, Shailendra Gahlot, Praveen Gupta, V Chilveraj and Mahesh Rawat.
