
Ex-ICLs among Bengal probables
Deep Dasgupta and Rohan Gavaskar are among the six ex-ICL players picked for Bengal probables for the upcoming Ranji Trophy.
The other players in the the 35-member squad, who parted with the 'rebel' league after the BCCI's amnesty offer, are Eklakh Ahmed, Shib Sagar Singh, Subhamoy Das and Abhishek Jhunjhunwala, a Cricket Association of Bengal release said today.
The only omission is Subhajit Paul, who is not up to the mark, said a CAB official.
Besides rookie U-19 all-rounder Sayan Sekhar Mondal, medium pacer Arijit Banerjee who has a suspect action is also in the list.
Veteran medium pacer Shib Shankar Paul has also been named in the squad, subject to his fitness.
The probables will attend a camp under high performance manager Dr Vece Paes at Eden Gardens from August 20.
Bengal coach Roger Binny is expected to join the side in the later half of this month.
