
Dhoni stars in Air India Blue win
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (106) and Manvinder Bisla (152) slammed unbeaten centuries to guide Air India Blue to a 143-run win.
Air India won under VJD method against India Revenue in a rain-truncated Group A match and a semifinal berth in the BCCI Corporate trophy.
Captain Dhoni and opener Bisla's fiery unbeaten tons propelled Air India Blue to a massive 362 for one from 42 overs after they were sent in to bat by India Revenue captain Amay Khurasiya.
In the run chase, India Revenue opener Ameya Shrikhande made a valiant effort with a 119-ball 121 but his other batsmen failed to support him.
Shrikhande batted till the 38th over, hitting 16 fours and a six. With his other team-mates falling around him with little contribution, India revenue ended their allotted 42 overs for just 222 for the loss of eight wickets.
For Air India Blue, Rudra Partap Singh and Pankaj Singh took two wickets apiece by conceding 24 and 34 runs respectively.
With this win, Air India Blue topped their group with seven points and will take on Group C winners Tata Sports Club in the second semifinal on Sunday.

Dhoni and Bisla added 200 runs in just 108 balls for the second wicket partnership.
The match was reduced to 42 overs per side after repeated rain-interruptions.
