
Blueprint for development of cricket
Gujarat government will prepare a blueprint to promote cricket and develop necessary infrastructure for the sports in the state.
This was confirmed by Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who was recently elected as the president of Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA).

Modi visited the Motera stadium on Monday and held discussions with former players, umpires and others regarding the status of the game in the state.
According to a state government release, Modi discussed various aspects like selection of players from district to state level, physical fitness, umpires, coaching, grounds and other infrastructure facilities.
He also met 25 former Ranji players and asked them to contribute for the development of the game in the state.
"Gujarat is committed to promote and develop cricket at the national level," he said.
Dushyant Patel elected BDCA president
BJP MLA Dushyant Patel has been elected unopposed as the president of Bharuch District Cricket Association (BDCA).
The BDCA is affiliated to the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) led by the Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
After GCA, BDCA is the second cricket association under the control of BJP.
