A shrewd thinker of the game, the wicketkeeper-batsman relies a lot on the young brigade to do the job for him in the limited version. His success has often been attributed to luck but many more round the world would now acknowledge that a World Twenty20 Championship, an ICC Cricket World Cup title and the numero uno spot in Test cricket cannot be a flash in the pan.
Beating a full-strength English side in swinging condition would be another huge feather in his cap, and it would take a brave man to bet against Dhoni achieving that. At the same time, the skipper would be keen to reignite his batting, which seems to have fallen on hard times – especially in Test matches.
