Injured Lee may miss part of IPL

Injured Australian pacer Brett Lee may sit out of the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan and a major portion of the IPL.

Recuperating from an ankle surgery, Lee underwent the fourth surgery of his career last month and Australian team physio Alex Kontouris says the Board is in no mood to rush him back into the squad.

Lee won't be rushed says team physio

"Brett's ankle is moving well. He starts running in a couple of weeks, and hopefully after that starts, bowling as well. He is an outside chance (for the Pakistan series) but we're not going to rush for that because there is so much ahead of us so we will take our time," Kountouris was quoted as saying by 'The Australian Associated Press', a news agency here.

Lee, who plays for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL, may be forced out of a major part of the cash-rich Twenty20 league as well.

"If he is right for that, great; if he's not the Twenty20 World Cup or maybe the tail end of IPL to get a bit of bowling into his system. It all depends on how he progresses," Kontouris said.
