"Consult states while re-scheduling IPL"
The Union Home Ministry asked BCCI to consult states hosting IPL matches while drafting a new schedule for the tournament.
A three-member BCCI delegation, led by its secretary N Srinivasan, met Home Ministry Special Secretary (Internal Security) Raman Srivastava to discuss the issue.
According to a Home Ministry spokesman, Srivastava conveyed the government's concerns and limitations to the BCCI in view of the tight security position for the Lok Sabha elections.
Srivastava suggested that a new schedule be worked out in consultation with the states hosting the IPL matches.
