New Zealand's Brendon McCullum has replaced Sourav Ganguly as captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, according to reports.

Weeks before, the Knight Riders' Australian coach John Buchanan had created a furore when he brought up the theory of multiple captains for his team for the second edition of the IPL in South Africa.

Moreover, according to reports coming in from South Africa, Ganguly, it seems, has been sacked as captain.

McCullum has been appointed skipper for the initial matches and maybe replaced by someone else later.
