"I will try and continue my form"
An opening batsman of the Delhi DareDevils, Gautam Gambhir said he would try and continue his good form during the IPL in SA.
Speaking to SportsCenter's Dinesh Chopra, Gambhir said,"I will try and continue my good form and help Delhi DareDevils win the IPL and then help India win the Champions Trophy."
The 27-year-old opener appeared excited about playing the IPL.
"I have some good memories of our T20 World Cup win in South Africa. We are going back there and there are some fond memories of our exploits," he added.
The flamboyant opener thinks the T20 World Cup was the turning point in his career.
"I have always said in my earlier interviews that the World Cup was the turning point and that too in South Africa, where people thought we were in no position to win the Cup."
"Many of our guys did their debut there and as a team it was a great feeling when we won the tournament."
Gautam Gambhir may have struck gold as an opener but the left-hander has no qualms about batting at any position.
