Sachin Tendulkar and Adam Gilchrist were slapped a fine of USD 20,000 each for slow over rate in the IPL match on Saturday.

"A decision in this regard was taken by match referee Devdas Govindjee from South Africa," the IPL authorities said in a statement.

Deccan Chargers defeated Mumbai Indians by 12 runs.

The Delhi Daredevils were also penalised for a similar slow over rate in their April 23 match against Chennai Super Kings at the same venue.
