Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakkara is all set to replace Yuvraj Singh as the captain of Kings XI Punjab.

According to media reports, Yuvraj has been sacked by the IPL team's management.

The formal announcement is expected to be made on Wednesday or Thursday.

As per the sources, coach Tom Moody had complained to the owners of the franchise that Yuvraj continually ignored the team management's advice.

Yuvraj led Kings XI Punjab in the first two editions of the IPL. Kings XI reached the semi-finals in the first season, they finished fifth in the table in the second edition.
