Domestic players added to KXIP squad

Three domestic players -- medium pacers Love Ablish, Shalab Srivatava and batsman Manvinder Bisla -- have joined Kings XI Punjab.

The players have joined the team for the third season of the Indian Premier League starting next month.

Ablish, who is from Punjab, has returned after a stint in the rebel Indian Cricket League while Srivatava is from Uttar Pradesh and the Haryana-born wicket-keeper batsman Bisla plays for Jammu and Kashmir currently.

Kings XI Punjab coach Tom Moody, said that the inclusion of the trio would strengthen and revitalise the team.

"They not only bring extra zeal to excel but also add fresh talent to the field with their exemplary ability with the ball and bat. Their zest to learn will ensure Kings XI reaches newer heights and is ready to face any competition this season," he said in a statement.

Kings XI's new captain Kumar Sangakkara welcomed the additions saying the three players "have shown some great performances in the past at Ranji Trophy from their respective states".

"These three players are exemplary performers and bring their passion, commitment and talent to the team," added the Sri Lanka national team skipper.

With their inclusion, the Kings XI squad now comprises of ten international players, eight Indian international cricketers and 14 domestic players.
