Hussey happy with security

Australia middle-order batsman Michael Hussey has given a thumbs up to the Indian T20 series' security measures.

He said the water-tight arrangements have made it easier for him to decide his participation in the Twenty20 event.

Hussey, who plays for Chennai, would squeeze in a short IPL stint in between national commitments.

Australia play New Zealand in a two-Test series that starts on Friday in Wellington and finishes on March 31.

"I've been in pretty close consultation with Chennai side," Hussey said.

"They're bending over backwards to get everything in place. So I'm pretty confident at this stage that I'll be more than happy to go," he said.

"Fingers crossed. That is their number one priority, the safety of the players, so that has given me a lot of comfort really," he added.
