Warne hopes to bounce back
Captain Shane Warne is hoping his Jaipur team can bounce back quickly following defeats in the first two games of the IPL.
Jaipur, who had surprised all by winning the first edition of the tournament in 2008, began the third edition with a loss to Kolkata in Mumbai and went down by six wickets against Delhi in Ahmedabad on Monday.
Abhishek Jhunjhunwala made a fighting unbeaten 53 in Jaipur' total of 141 for six, but the home side were blown away by a fierce 75 from Virender Sehwag which helped Delhi overhaul the target with almost three full overs to spare.
Warne said: "It was a home game for us and the crowd was fantastic, but unfortunately we just did not play very well in all departments right from ball one.
"We got off to a pretty good start and we were 45 for two in 4.5 overs, but from there it all went backwards. When you don't win games questions will be asked of every player in the side.
"We just played poorly tonight and we have had a horrendous start to the tournament, but we had similar starts before and we have the ability to come back.
"It's still a long tournament with 12 games to go, but we need to bounce back as quick as we can and try and get some sort of momentum going."
For Delhi, the victory was their second in a row and captain Gautam Gambhir hoped the team could keep winning.
"It was an excellent effort by the bowlers to restrict Jaipur to a low total," Gambhir said.
"Then the way Viru (Sehwag) batted, he just took the game away from them. It's really important to get some momentum early in the tournament and we have got it now.
"We just want to prolong it for as long as we can because once you lose momentum, its hard to regain."
