Kochi are considering the names of Brian Lara and Lance Klusener as potential targets for their IPL team, according to reports.

Team owners Rendezvous Sports World Private Limited (RSWPL), however have not gone public with their recruitment plans as of now.

Besides former West Indian batting great Lara and South African all-rounder Klusener, Australian batsman and vice-captain Michael Clarke is also said to be on the radar of the Kochi franchise.

RSWPL CEO Shailendra Gaikwad said the franchise has not started plannig on which players to buy for the fourth season of the IPL: "We will decide on player composition later. There are certain names in our mind, but I just want to say that we are still unsure. We will start the process in the coming 15 days."

"We don't see that as a major issue. We have seen new stars emerge during each edition of the IPL and it is not always the established players who have performed better," Keshav Patel from the Rosy Blue Group - co-owners of RSWPL said on Sunday.
