Richards reveals Stanford squad
West Indies great Sir Viv Richards has revealed the Stanford Superstars squad to take on England for a USD 20 million purse.
Richards, who acted as chairman of selectors for the squad, named a combination of established names and unknowns in a 17-man party for the match to be played on November 1.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Daren Powell and Jerome Taylor are among the household names who will participate in Antigua.
"We (the Stanford Superstars selection panel) believe this squad is very capable of doing justice to their selection to the Stanford Superstars squad to face England for the unprecedented purse," Richards said.
"There are several familiar faces in this Stanford Superstars squad but there are some exciting new additions such as Lindon James, Lionel Baker and Chad Hampson."
