Sehwag the dangerman: Ponting

Captain Ricky Ponting says the main dangerman for Australia in the four-Test series is Indian opener Virender Sehwag.

"Sehwag is a key player and he is dangerous once he gets in," Ponting said while responding to a query on who he thought was the main worry for his team.

The Aussie skipper initially named master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, but when pressed for a more definitive answer, named the Nawab of Najafgarh as the man who could "single-handedly change the course of a match".

"Everytime he gets in, he gets a big score and it will be important to contain him," he noted.

Asked about the inexperienced bowling attack and how they were going to measure up to the famed Indian batting, Ponting said: "Anybody who gets picked for Australia will do a good job.

"Also, it's not about one bowler, the overall balance of the side is important."

Ponting also seemed in favour of the referral system that was first used in Tests between India and Sri Lanka and said the same will be used in their series against South Africa.
