Clark doubtful for second Test

Clark doubtful for second Test

Stuart Clark is a doubt for the second Test after he was ruled out of a practice session on Wednesday due to an elbow injury.

An inflamed elbow joint had troubled the pacer during the first Test against India in Bangalore, which ended in a draw.

Clark was not given the second new ball during India's first innings on the third day, but was handed the new ball at the start of India's second innings.

Clark had bowled only 17 overs in the first innings and had thrown under arm while fielding in the deep.

Australian physio Alex Kountouris said Clark would be rested on Wednesday and an assessment made on Thursday.

"He's not going to bowl at training today," he said.

"We will see how he pulls up on Thursday and will play him if he feels okay."

The second Test starts in Mohali on Friday.
