The England and Wales Cricket Board have denied reports Sri Lanka's tour next summer has been scrapped.

England are due to host the Sri Lankans in two Tests early next May, which clashes with the second season of the Indian Premier League, involving a number of Sri Lanka players, followed by a one-day series.

An ECB spokesman rejected claims the tour had subsequently been cancelled.

However, it is believed a contingency plan is in place should Sri Lanka fail to guarantee a full-strength touring party, with West Indies potential substitute opposition.
