CA shocked by Mumbai terror attacks

Cricket Australia expressed shock over the terrorist strike in Mumbai and offered condolences to the victims of the attack.

CA chairman Jack Clarke described the attack that left over 100 dead and several others injured as tragic.

"I have spoken to my counterpart at the Board of Control for Cricket in India Mr Shashank Manohar, to pass on our condolences to those affected and best wishes to their staff involved in this tragedy," he said in a statement.

"Australian cricket has many friends in Mumbai and in India more broadly and our thoughts are with them and with all those touched by this terrible event," he added.

CA said it was, however, pleased that one of its senior executives Dean Kino, who was at one of the hotels attacked, was safe and well.
