Yorkshire 20-year-old all-rounder Adil Rashid has been added to the England performance squad to travel to Abu Dhabi.

The 20-year-old all-rounder joins a nine-man party that is to serve as back-up to the senior squad during the forthcoming Test series in India.

England are travelling to the United Arab Emirates for a training camp with a view to resuming their tour of India next week. The squad flew home last weekend due to security concerns following the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

Rashid, who played for the England Lions last summer, enjoyed his most prolific first-class season in 2008 with 62 County Championship wickets for Yorkshire.
