Sehwag: I am a positive cricketer
Opener Vireder Sehwag, who was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match for his brilliant 83 said he was a positive cricketer.
Sehwag, who set up the historic 387 run chase for India with a 68 ball 83 in the final session of the fourth day said he had made up his mind to hit the ball if it was in his area.
"It did not matter whether the ball spun or bounced. If the ball was there in my area, I knew I had to go for it."
Sehwag said he always backs himself to play his shots and that again paid rich dividends in Chennai.
The dynamic Indian opener also hailed Sachin Tendulkar, who got his 41st Test ton and Yuvraj Singh, who made a stunning statement in the run chase.
"The wicket was turning and Sachin and Yuvi batted brilliantly. In fact, I think it was Sachin's best hundred ever. He had got a hundred here (in Chennai) against Pakistan but was dismissed before we could win. This time round, he won it for us."
Sehwag also pointed out that the dressing room atmosphere was the best he had seen in eight years as an India cricketer.
"The boys are all very confident in the dressing room. No one is afraid of losing because we all have that belief we can do it."
Sehwag has been in brilliant form thie year, perched right at the top of the pack for top Test run scorers.
