Pieterson wants crisis talks with ECB

Pieterson has sought emergency talks with the ECB over the role of coach Peter Moores, according to reports in the English media.

Telegraph Sport" understands that the meeting with the chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board, Giles Clarke, has been called for in early January.

"With the Ashes series just six months away, Clarke could be forced to take bold action with both Pieterson and Moores under pressure after a series of poor results," said the 'Telegraph Sport'.

England were humiliated during the Stanford Series and then they were thrashed 5-0 in the one-day series against India followed by a Test series loss.

"Moores endured a difficult relationship with Michael Vaughan and it is believed his successor, Pieterson, has run out of patience with the coach," says the newspaper.

The "Daily Mail" reported that the cause of the problem was the selectors' decision to not include Michael Vaughan for the West Indies tour.

The newspaper reported that the England captain wanted Vaughan in the team and left for a safari holiday in Africa but the coach apparently pushed the selectors to leave the former captain out of the team.

Since taking over from Duncan Fletcher, Moores has lost four out of seven Test series.

The Engand team depart for their tour to the West Indies on January 21 for four Test matches, a Twenty20 international and five ODIs.
