Laxman felicitated by alma mater

VVS Laxman was felicitated by his alma mater, the St John's Sports Coaching Foundation for playing 100 Tests.

A song specially composed for him was also played at the function, which was also attended by cricketers like S Venkatapathy Raju, Arshad Ayub and Noel David.

Laxman turned nostalgic while recounting the days when his uncle Baba Krishna Mohan admitted him into the Foundation way back in 1986.

"The Foundation is like second home for me as far as my cricketing life is concerned as it has played a major role in shaping my career," he said.

"This achievement of playing in 100 Tests is not only of mine but also the of my coaches and all those who helped me become what I am today," the Hyderabadi batsman added.
