"It's a dream come true for me"

Indian women cricket team captain Jhulan Goswami is hopeful that her side will do well in the World Cup in Australia.

"It is a dream come true for me to lead the team in the World Cup. Last time we had finished runners-up but this time we can win," Goswami told reporters.

According to her, the recent drubbings against Australia and England will not hamper the team's preparations for the mega event.

"What has happened has happened. We have to learn from the defeats and look forward," she said.

On whether she would be under pressure with responsibility of captaining the side, the fast bowler said, "Pressure is there from the day a player begins to play. It will be a new challenge for me."

On the preparations for the World Cup, she said, "We are on the right track. Various team combinations have almost been decided."

The mega tournament will be held Down Under from March 7 to 22 with India taking on arch-rivals Pakistan in their first match.

Asked about playing against Pakistan in the World Cup, Jhulan said, "Each match has its own importance but the match against Pakistan will be special as Indo-Pak rivalry has always been attractive."

Former skipper Anjum Chopra, who will be playing in her fourth World Cup, said the team has a great chance of winning the tournament this time around.

"The team has a good mixture of youth and experience and the combination should work well for us," she said.

"The earlier World Cups have individually been very good to me. I would like to make this tournament even better."

India have been placed in Group B along with England, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
