"I thought of my daughter"

"I thought of my daughter"

Dilhara Fernando told SporstCenter India's Dinesh Chopra he thought of his daughter when the Sri Lankans came under fire.

The Lankan pacer, speaking after his arrival to Colombo recollected the horror moments in Lahore, when terrorists opened fire on the team bus, injuring six of his teammates: "At first, I thought somebody was bursting firecrackers.

"But when we got to know what was happening, I thought of my daughter and wondered what would happen of her if I died."

Off-spinning wizard Muttiah Muralitharan said the team was rattled when terror struck on Tuesday and everybody ducked under the seats.

However, Murali refused to comment whether it was right of Sri Lankan Cricket to send the team to send the team to trouble-torn Pakistan.
