Pakistan tour halted by BCB

Pakistan tour halted by BCB

The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Thursday have postponed Pakistan's tour of the country, which was due to begin next week.

Pakistan were scheduled to play two Twenty20 internationals and five one-day internationals, starting with the first Twenty20 match in Dhaka on March 10.

However, according to a statement from the BCB, the tour has been postponed on the advice of the government.

Pakistan had announced a 16-man squad for the tournament on Wednesday, but had also asked for government permission for the team to travel to Bangladesh.

The request for government permission was made following the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore earlier this week.

Bangladesh are also facing political turmoil following the mutiny of border security forces group Bangladesh Rifles.
