"Pak must launch a campaign"

Ex India captain Md Azharuddin said Pakistan needs to launch a facelift campaign to ensure return of cricket on their soil.

He added that Tuesday's terror attacks on Sri Lankan players have dealt a severe blow to trouble-torn country as an international cricket venue.

Condemning the terrorists attack, which left seven Sri Lankan cricketers and an assistant coach injured, the cricketer-turned-politician said he did not think in the near future any country would take the risk of sending its players to Pakistan.

"Pakistan will have to launch a major campaign to ensure their return to international cricket. No country would risk sending its players to Pakistan in near future," said Azharuddin, who joined the Congress last month.

The Sri Lankan team convoy came under an audacious attack from 12 masked terrorists when they were on their way to the Gaddafi Stadium for the third day's play in the second Test match.
