"Panesar is stalled at the moment"
Shane Warne feels England left-arm spinner Monty Panesar needs to add more tricks to his bowling armoury.
In the updated version of 'Shane Warne's Century', excerpts of which was published in 'The Daily Mirror', the Australian spin legend hailed the English spinner of Indian origin as a genuine talent but felt Panesar had stopped learning.
"Panesar is one of the jewels of the game today. But he's stalled at the moment. I want to see improvement and different plans and strategies," Warne wrote.
"Panesar is a proper attacking spinner who will win matches for England as a strike bowler. As he plays in different conditions, he will learn. If not, he will stay as he is and not improve," said the spin great.
Warne met Panesar Down Under after Australia whitewashed England in 2006-07 and both chatted over their craft.
"I got the impression he had prepared what he wanted to ask, and it was quite funny when I found out he'd asked Mike Hussey whether he thought I would talk to him. I reckon he will be trying to pick brains for the rest of his career. But spinners could soon seek him out for the secrets of his own success," Warne added.
