Bangla players snap ICL ties
Three Bangladeshi players terminated their ICL contract and applied for amnesty from their cricket Board.
According to a report in 'The Daily Star', banned duo of Mosharraf Hossain and Monjurul Islam have submitted evidence of terminating their ICL contracts to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), seeking to return to mainstream cricket.
Former national skipper Habibul Bashar had already submitted his application to avail the BCB amnesty offer.
More 'rebel' Bangla cricketers are expected to avail the amnesty offer before the BCB deadline expires on June 15, BCB media committee chairman Jalal Yunus Chowdhury told the daily.
"I welcome any of our ICL players to come back to domestic cricket. The deadline for them to terminate their contracts with the ICL is on June 15 so we expect more players to submit their letters in the next few days," he said.
Once granted amnesty, the players would have to go through a six-month "cooling period" before returning to the national team.
According to the report, the players met at another rebel cricketer Shahriar Nafees' residence on Wednesday night to discuss their future.
